Artist Statement

I strive to highlight the extraordinary and exquisitely beautiful things in everyday life that are often taken for granted. Light reflected in a bathroom tile becomes an abstract color study. A pile of fallen leaves transforms into a riot of pattern and chaos on the lawn.
I use anything and everything available to me to capture the world around me. Digital, 35mm, Holga, Polaroid- they’re all merely tools I utilize to freeze moments in time.My work is my story. It is a journal of my life-from adventures abroad to normally mundane objects we see every day. It serves to help me remember where I have been and where I want to be via pattern, color, and emotion.
